Field boots vs. leather half chaps for English Pleasure, Equitation and HUS?

I have a pair and they are OK for what you need. I would look at Ariats. They are the best! They start at $199 on Dover. If you have to walk on hard ground or gravel for a long time then you can start to feel it through the soles. I really think that just around the grounds and showing they will be great! Good Luck!
